A Message From Our Centre Manager
Welcome to ACG Queenstown Early Learning School
Kia ora! I’m Harpreet Ahluwalia, a registered teacher with 18 years of experience, passionate about nurturing children’s growth in a safe, inspiring environment. Originally from Punjab, India, I’ve called Queenstown home for 15 years and feel privileged to work in such a beautiful community.
Our approach is deeply rooted in the Reggio Emilia philosophy, which places children at the centre of their learning journey. By encouraging exploration, curiosity, and collaboration, we empower children to take an active role in their education. Teachers, families, and children work together to create a rich, inquiry-based learning environment that extends beyond the classroom.
The natural beauty of Queenstown is integral to our philosophy, fostering creativity, physical activity, and environmental stewardship. Outdoor exploration and hands-on projects inspire children to develop a sense of wonder, respect, and responsibility for the world around them.
At ACG Queenstown, every child is valued and supported to feel safe, confident, and ready to learn. Social-emotional development is a key focus, with teachers fostering empathy, communication, and resilience through trusting relationships and inclusive practices.
We believe in the power of partnership with parents. By embracing the cultural diversity of our community, we enrich learning and create a cohesive, global-minded environment. Families are encouraged to share traditions and perspectives, ensuring every child feels a strong sense of belonging.
As Centre Manager, I find great fulfilment in creating a space where children, families, and educators thrive. Together, we lay the foundation for children to become compassionate, creative, and capable individuals, prepared for a lifetime of success and learning.
